Welcome to 4th Grade at St. Gregory the Great School!
In 4th grade, students will rotate among the three classrooms. All students will attend Reading and Language Arts in room 401 with Miss Welch, Math and Religion in room 402 with Mrs. Parrino, and Science and Social Studies in room 403 with Mrs. Hozdic.
*Students must bring a personal reading book to school every day*
Throughout the school year, all of the fourth grade classrooms we will be encouraging students to work towards our
"4 for Fourth" Goals:
1. Treat others the way you wish to be treated.
2. Welcome each others differences, as we are all children of God.
3. Take responsibility for your actions and accept consequences graciously.
4. "Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandi
In all of the classrooms, we will be encouraging all students to be self advocates. Students should take on the responsibility of filling in their own planners, packing their back packs with the proper books/tools, and turning in homework on time when assigned. Please encourage your child to ask questions during the school day. We would like them to leave at the end of the day confident that they have clear understanding of concepts taught throughout the day. Our goal is to foster their independence and prepare them for their middle school years.
